**I have working partnership with Goldfish Swim School. While they provide me with complimentary lessons, all thoughts and comments are my own.**
If you’ve been a reader of this blog for a while then you know that I take the girls to Goldfish Swim School for lessons. We have now been going for about a year, and I still love it! The facility is awesome, and the teachers are amazing. They all work with the students at their level and are more than willing to provide extra support when needed.
While most of my posts have been focused on Annabelle, I wanted to take the time to talk about Autumn’s lessons. We started a year ago, the same time as Annabelle, and it is incredible how much she has grown. We have had two teachers, both awesome. In fact our teacher now is Mr. Arman, who, if you remember was Annabelle’s first teacher. He is equally as good with the babies as he was with Annabelle.
What I really wanted to talk about is how much I love the time I get to spend with Autumn during this time. When we first started Annabelle had not started preschool yet, so the three of us were together all the time. Annabelle was in dance, speech therapy, and physical therapy, and Autumn always had to come along. Swimming lessons were the first activity that she actually got to participate in, and she loved it.
The babies swim in their own smaller pool (still kept toasty warm) with their parents. We sing songs and work on skills that will be used when they are ready to go to the big pool (with out a parent). I really love the one on one time that I get with her during that time. All my focus is on Autumn, not split between her and her sister. There is no sibling screaming, just Autumn and mommy having fun and learning. Plus, it’s not just moms that participate in these Mini classes. Dads do too! In fact, in the class Autumn and I are in now, I am the only mom! So if you are a dad (or a mom wanting her hubby to do things with the kids) swim lessons are a great bonding time!
