It’s hard to believe that we are about half way through September. As you know I love  But that means that it’s ok for me to share my latest Silhouette craft with you. A DIY Hocus Pocus shirt!!! And don’t worry, I’m giving you the studio cut file so you can make as many as you want! 🙂
So to start off with download the file here, and upload it to your computer. I cut my design using my Silhouette Cameo. I gave you the un-mirrored version, just in case you wanted to use it with a stencil or something (which may be something I’ll have to do….)
If you don’t have a Silhouette you can use these files. I hope that they work out alright, as it was a little challenging to get them converted:
Now select everything, and go to object ->mirror-> flip horizontally.
Everything should now look like this.
Next make sure your machine is on, and connected to your computer and send.
Be sure that HTV is selected.
Put your vinyl shiny side down on your mat, cut, and then weed. I use Siser HTV
After weeding, place your design where you want it, put a thin piece of material over it, and us an iron to press it down.
And you are done! Go get yourself a PSL (or in my case a SCM, Decaf) and wear your DIY hocus pocus shirt with pride!
Just to note… the shirt in the picture didn’t exactly turn out. The shirt above is a maternity shirt and is made from stretch material, which does not work well with HTV.  It didn’t stick and started peeling up. A fact I didn’t think about until I was ironing it on. Lesson learned. Good thing the shirt only cost me $3. I later went to JoAnns and bought a large shirt, dyed it, and am trying to make it into a maternity shirt, but it just doesn’t look quite as cute as the one above.
This is a simple DIY Hocus Pocus shirt, with a free cut file! Made with heat transfer vinyl. Click To TweetI got the mug pictured last year in a mug exchange, that you can read more about here.Â
