The weather is changing, new clothes have been bought, pictures have been taken, and the smell of fall is in the air. That can only mean one thing.
It’s back to school time!
I don’t know about you, but as a kid, I always got excited about the new year.
What would my teacher be like? Who would be in my class? What would I learn?
Now that I’m a parent, with my daughter entering preschool for the first time, I have many of the same questions!
What will her teacher be like? Will she make friends? What will she learn?
Even though it’s my daughter’s first time entering school, as a former first grade teacher, I kind of know what to expect. Like the fact that she is going to come home with a ton of art projects! Art projects that she took her time on, and is proud of. So what’s a parent to do with all of these treasures? Instead of filing them away, or hanging them on the fridge, only to have them make their way into that “other” bin, use them to create a gallery wall.
It may seem intimidating, but trust me, it’s not! Keeping the frames looking nice isn’t hard either, with Windex® Original Glass Cleaner.
Plus , when you shop at Kroger, you can get $20 to shop at Shutterfly® when you buy two Windex® products (now till 12/1/17, read here for terms and conditions). That’s a pretty great deal!
So, how on earth do you go about creating a gallery wall? The first thing you need to do is measure the space you want to display the artwork. Then use painters tape to create the space on the floor.
Then find frames that will work with the artwork and space. I simply hit up the dollar store. I wanted to stick with black frames, but choose a variety of styles and sizes.
I took my frames and tried out lots of different combinations.
I traced the frames on brown paper and tried a few combinations by taping them to the wall.
When you find one you like, it’s finally it’s time to hang your frames. I used picture hanging strips, so I didn’t even have to worry about making holes in the wall. When putting the pictures on the wall, be sure to use a level to insure they are even. Get them all on the wall and admire how awesome your child’s artwork looks.
And that’s it. Almost.
Now that you have this awesome gallery wall, you are going to want to keep it clean, and Windex® Original Glass Cleaner will help you do it!
Or, if you are looking for an ammonia-free option, why not check out the. Windex® Vinegar Multi-Surface Cleaner.
Both products will help you keep that gallery wall sparkly! Feel free to learn more about Windex® or follow them through Twitter and Facebook.
Plus, if you buy 2 Windex ® products, you will get $20 to shop at Shutterfly®. The offer is valid 7/15/17-12/1/17 (be sure to visit here for terms and conditions). What a great way to put those back to school pictures to good use!
