Does anyone else sing “Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday” by Rebecca Black when we reach the weekend. No? Just me then. But really yay for Friday! We are supposed to be getting snow Thursday – Friday, so we will see if I wake up to a winter wonderland or not. I hope that everyone had a fabulous week. While we don’t have too much planned the weekend I am ready to cheer the Chiefs on to a Super Bowl win.
Outside time
We’ve been trying to get outside to play after picking Annabelle up from school. Some days it can be hard since we don’t get home until 4ish. Then by 5:00 I usually like to start making dinner (and have the girls clean up the disaster that is probably their toys). So far I think we are up to about 12 hours since the start of the year.
Sweet sisters
While the girls do usually play well, some days all they do is fight. And then I fear they will grow up and not have a strong relationship. As an only child I really want them to have a strong bond that takes them into adult hood. But then, I see this. Annabelle helped Autumn make her lunch, and wrote a note on the bag like I usually do. It says: Dear Autumn, I love your cute little face and love your braid. I love you. Bubu.” My heart melted when I saw she did this.
Also, as a note. I swear she knows how to spell better than this, but when she’s in a rush she tends to get ahead of herself. I often have to remind her to slow down. Also, her nickname is Buba, so that’s why she signed it like that.
That time I wore makeup
On Thursday I had to go into the Secretary of State (booo) to renew my license (and update it to the Real ID. On the off chance that I need to fly anytime soon). Since I was getting my picture taken I figured I should do my makeup. And I needed to document it.
My reader
This girl loves to read. Currently she is devouring The Boxcar Children and Dogman books. In the picture above we are waiting to walk to school after dropping Autumn off for speech. Her speech school is on the way to Annabelle’s school so we drop Autumn off, then wait a few before dropping Annabelle off. Last year we waited inside, but #covid changed that, so we wait outside. I love that she brought a book with her. And if I didn’t have to watch Aubrie, I would have brought a book too.
Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who gave me suggestions about my dilemma on what to have Annabelle wear for her First Communion. It was wonderful to take a look at what you all suggested to help my come up with a better idea in my head. There were a few suggestions of rompers, but unfortunately most come with wide legs, which Annabelle doesn’t like how they move (the same reason she doesn’t like dresses).
I was able, however to come up with a more solid (or is it solider?) plan for what I will make her. It’ll involve lace, and satin, and I only hope the idea in my head will work out. I plan on making a test shirt with cheaper fabric, so I’ve got my finger crossed!
Super Bowl Sunday!
In honor of the Super Bowl I figured I’d share a few of my football related posts! I realized these were all sponsored posts, but they are still fun to share. 🙂
While these were grilled, you could totally pop them in the oven!
If you missed it
As always, if you missed it, here is what was on the blog this week:
I hope that everyone has a fabulous weekend! I’ll see you back here Monday. 🙂
