It’s hard to believe that it is the first Friday of December! The fact that Thanksgiving was a little later this year allowed December to sneak up on me. Let’s take a look at some of my favorite from the week.
Outside Time
I have not been doing a great job about getting outside time with the girls since school started. Autumn gets time at school, but I’ve been pretty stressed trying to make sure I’m doing enough for Annabelle. I’m a firm believer in the importance of play, and over break I realized I hadn’t been doing a good job with including outside time in our day. All this to say I’m working more at making sure to give Annabelle outside time during our school day.
Baking all the cookies!
Like I said, the fact that it is December snuck up on me! Usually I already have a few batch of cookies done by this time. I bought a ton of ingredients and am ready to have a baking extravaganza. Yesterday we baked haystacks (also known as Chinese New Year cookies) and Mrs. Field Chocolate Chip Cookies, which I only make around Christmas time.
Mug Cozy
I’m really happy with how this mug cozy is turning out. It’s my first time doing fair isle knitting, so there is a bit of a learning curve. I hope to have a pattern on the blog later this month.
Jingles the Elf
Jingles the Elf is back. I figured I’d share where we’ve been finding him every morning. Thankfully he doesn’t get into too much trouble. 😉
Day One: Tuesday
