We made it to another Friday! Autumn only has one more week of school, then we are on break for two weeks. It’s crazy to think how near the end of 2020 we are.
What we ate
Sunday: portabella Mushroom Stew
Monday: left overs
Tuesday: Aldi BBQ Pork Roast
Wednesday: Left overs
Thursday: stew
Friday: left overs
Saturday: pizza
Some weeks we end up with lots of leftovers. It really all depends on how big of a batch the recipe makes, and how much everyone eats. Some days I try new recipes that aren’t all that great so we end up with lots of leftovers. I still try to eat those meals, because I am trying hard to not waste food.
What I’m crafting
I’ve been trying to get a bunch of sewing projects done. I took a look at my goals, and I’m not sure I’ll get to them all, but I am sure going to try.
I’ve been finishing up some Christmas shirts for Annabelle and Autumn. I’d like to make one for Aubrie, but think I need to get more fabric. Here is Aubrie’s… sorry it’s upside down.
I’m still puttering along on this stocking. I’m not sure if I can finish it in 13 days, but I am sure going to try.
I (finally) made a few Christmas hair bows. I am hoping to get the pattern on the blog next week
I also finished the fair isle cozy, which I am pretty proud of.
What I’ve been baking
I’ve baked quite a few batches of cookies already, but still have many more I want to get done.
I made another batch of these peppermint M&M cookies, as well as eggnog snowmen, chocolate chip cookies, and haystacks.
I also created a new recipe I think I’ll call graham cracker toffee bites. I still have to wait for it to set up, but I think it’ll taste quite good.
What I’m looking forward to
Even though we just had a Thanksgiving break, I am still looking forward to Winter break. I am hoping to cross a lot of things off my bucket list then. And just try to enjoy the time with my girls. My fuse is might short these days, and I don’t want my girls to remember me as a “mad always frustrated mom” at the holiday times.
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
