Is it finally Friday?? I still can’t believe that Christmas is only 10 days away! Eeek! I still have to send out my Christmas cards, and finish up some shopping, so hopefully I can bust that all out this weekend! If not, some people may be getting their cards a little bit late.
ONE: SNOW
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! At the beginning of the week we woke up to a nice blanket of snow on the ground. The prediction was 1-3″, but we for sure got closer to 5″.
Then, on Wednesday we got another pretty significant snow fall. Many schools actually closed in anticipation of the snow, since it was supposed to be the heaviest from about 2pm-7pm. And boy was it heavy. Besides getting Annabelle from school I was able to enjoy watching the snowfall from my house. Matt left work early, and it took him about 2.5 hours to get home, on a normal 20-30 minute drive.
Comparison:
The first picture if from the first batch of snow. The second is after we got the additional snow.
TWO: SICK
Autumn has been fighting a pretty nasty cough. She had a fever, then had a croupy cough. I took her to the doctor on Monday, who confirmed the croup, gave us a prescription for a steroid and send us on our way. On Wednesday we spent a bit of time outside at night to see if that would help the cough. At least the view was pretty….
Well, she is still coughing, but now its more of a hacking cough. Enough so that she ends up gasping for breath after a fit. She’s actually been sleeping with us the past few nights, which means we haven’t really been sleeping. We will probably go back to the doctor today, but I honestly don’t think there is anything they can do about it. I guess just give me some peace of mind that it’s nothing more serious.
THREE: LADIES NIGHT
On Tuesday I got together with my moms club for a cookie exchange. I was supposed to host, but with Autumn being sick with croup, people were a bit nervous about coming to my house. Thankfully another member offered to host so the exchange still happened (which is good since I had 4 dozen cookies to get rid of). I’m hoping to host another event, since I was looking forward to having people over.
FOUR: NEW CHALKBOARD DESIGN
So I finally got around to putting up a new chalkboard design… but I really like how it turned out!
FIVE: ON THE BLOG
In case you missed it, I’ve been way busier on the blog that I thought I would be. So be sure you caught all my posts! 🙂
I checked in on how I’m doing on the Photo Challenge.
Shared the ornament I got in the exchange.
And finally shared how to make an easy and yummy cheese tray.
I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
