Happy Friday friends! It’s always a good time when the weekend is here! Let’s take a look at how the week went.
The Inauguration
Annabelle, Aubrie and I watched the Inauguration (Autumn was at school). As we were watching I tried to explain everything to the best of my ability. Annabelle loved seeing firefighter Andrea Hall sign the pledge (as did I). While Kamala Harris was being sworn in she asked who she was (we didn’t watch much political news/debates while the kids were up), and I told her she was the Vice President. That she will help President Biden, and if something happens to President Biden, that she will become president. Her response “I didn’t know a girl could be president!”. Which I swear we’ve talked about, but it goes to show, talking about it and seeing it are two separate things.
Snow fort
We are still trying to spend time outside, which is a little harder with Autumn back in school. But one day we went out, and found that it was packing snow! So, I told the girls I’d help them build a fort. They rolled all of these snowballs themselves, and I helped place them.
Homemade Stickers
If you follow me on IG then you may have seen in my stories that I was able to make a sticker out of my water bottle watercolor! While I didn’t get the cut setting quite right, I’m pretty happy with how they turned out. I’m hoping to get a tutorial on the blog about it, so stay tuned. 🙂
ANNABELLE IS BACK IN SCHOOL!!
Yes. This required caps and exclamation points. On Wednesday I re-enrolled Annabelle in school, and yesterday was her first. The district has been F2F since December 20th, and things seem to be going alright. I have my fingers crossed that F2F will be able to continue. She hadn’t been to school since March.
When the district decided to do virtual learning I pulled her (which was a hard decision). I knew I wouldn’t be able to help her with virtual learning, be able to take Autumn to and from school, and still take care of Aubrie. While she isn’t thrilled about wearing a mask all day she is so excited to be back. Especially since her first grade teacher is now teaching a 2/3 split, and she is in the class!
Onto a new book
I finished Outfox by Sandra Brown, and am now onto a new book, Sting, also by Sandra Brown. It’s another crime book, and in this one a hit man decides to kidnap the sister of killing her in hopes of getting the money her brother has stolen. I’m enjoying it so far. 🙂 I have a lot of Sandra Brown, James Patterson, and Nora Roberts books since my MIL give me books once she is done reading them.
