Baby Size: At 13 weeks, my baby is as big as a peach.
Gender: No clue, but as of now I’m going to say boy, based on the fact that this pregnancy has been so different from my first.
Cravings: Arby’s! Ever since 10ish weeks, I have thought to myself (and said out loud to my husband) “Man Arby’s sounds so good right now!” Now, it’s not like I ever disliked Arby’s, just wasn’t one of my favorites. Now, it sounds so good all the time! That is why I was so excited to be able to stop on the way back from a play date and pick some up!
Symptoms: None really. Like I said, this pregnancy has been so different than my first. With Annabelle I felt pretty terrible at night from week 8ish to 12ish. With this one, I start to feel nauseous if I don’t eat every two hours.
Sleep: Sleep had been doing fine, but now that I’m getting close to my second trimester, and laying on my back is a no-no, I’ve found it harder to get comfortable. I’m not a huge side sleeper, so I find myself tossing and turning all night. Lately my hips have started to bother me a bit as well. I think it may be time to bust out the maternity pillow I have.
Movement: None yet. I really hope I feel it sooner with this pregnancy than I did with Annabelle. I didn’t feel much until 24 weeks (which was probably due to the fact my placenta was in the front, so it cushioned a lot).
Clothing: Still fitting into regular clothes. I really need a new pair of jeans, since I only have one pair I can wear. They fit fine, but I find myself slipping on my maternity jeans to see if I can get away with wearing them yet. I also just got a bunch of fun (and stylish) maternity clothes from a fellow mom, so I’m looking forward to busting those out. Since I will be super pregnant in the summer (as opposed to winter like I was with Annabelle) I will have to invest in some new clothes…darn.. ;). I think I may be excited about my maternity clothes since they are way more stylish than what I normally wear.
Miss Anything: Lunch meat. Like a club sandwich. I did make myself a BLT (with avocado and hard boiled egg), which kinda tasted like a club (and may also be becoming a new craving). Wine. With Spring upon us I am also going to miss sangria.
Big Sister: Annabelle is doing great, although definitely in the “terrible twos”. We have told her that mommy is going to have a baby, but I don’t really think she understands. She does point out babies on the TV, or in the store, so maybe she is catching on more than I know.
Getting Excited About: My next doctors appointment where I will hopefully hear the heart beat. It won’t happen until week 18, which seems a bit long to me. I swear I had my second appointment with Annabelle at week 12, but I’m trying not to worry to much.
