I don’t know about you but this week just seemed to draaaag on. I am so glad that it’s Friday today! We have lots of fun planned for the weekend, including working more on the downstairs playroom. It’s quite funny as Matt and I have slightly different ideas of what we want. He wants it to be a “tranquil guest room” that is also used as a play room, while I want it a bright and cheerful playroom that can be used as a guest room if needed. Here’s hoping we can find a happy compromise. 😉 What were some of my favorite from the week??
Discovering Presets
I have been trying to get a somewhat cohesive look with my Instagram for a long time. I have tried editing all my photos the same way using things like VSCO or Snapseed, but it just didn’t work. I finally looked into presets, and surprisingly they aren’t super expensive to buy, and they work with the free Lightroom app. So I’ve been playing around trying to figure out the look I like best. I got mine from LouMarksPhoto on Etsy.
Swimming with Daddy
When Matt gets home from work he likes to go swimming with the girls if time allows. I usually just stay back in the house for some time to myself, but sometimes I’ll sit by the pool and watch. It’s so much fun watching them!
Spending time outside
Now that it hasn’t been super hot we have been able to spend a little more time outisde which is fantastic (note: I usually don’t go in the pool with all the girls when I am alone. It’s too hard to make sure Annabelle and Autumn are staying safe while also making sure Aubrie doesn’t fall in the pool or fall back on the pool deck).
My two blog posts from the week
While I usually don’t inlcude the weeks blog posts in my favorite list, I had to this time becuase I love them so much!
First off, this tiered tray! I had seen them on Pinterest and really loved how they looked. I figured I could DIY it on the cheap and it worked out fantastically! I see more trays in my future for sure.
And this apple unit I created to use with Annabelle. It took quite some time to put all my thoughts together, but when I am very proud with how it turned out. It’s a free 60 page download that I hope will help parents who find themselves teaching at home this school year.
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
