**I am pleased to be partnering with Goldfish Swim School to bring you this post. While they are providing lessons free of cost to me, all thoughts and comments are my own.**
As the summer is drawing to an end, and kids are getting ready to go back to school, many people begin to think about ending swim lessons. While I understand that life gets busy, I believe that swimming is an important skill. That’s why I love that with Goldfish lessons are perpetual. Here are five reasons why year long swim lessons at Goldfish rocks!
1. The Teacher Knows the Child:
Since the lessons are year round, your child will have the same teacher until they are ready to move up to next level. I know that when my girls are comfortable with their teacher, they are less nervous about what they need to do, and more eager to please. I know after a good lesson Annabelle will tell me for days that “Mr. Michael said I did a good job Mama!” Since the teacher knows the children he or she knows what motivates them, and how to help them succeed.
2. Planned Curriculum
When it comes to teaching swimming, I think consistency is important. When kids and parents know what to expect, children have a greater chance of excelling.
3. Chance for Progress
I love that with Goldfish you know what skills your kids need to master in order to move on to the next level. You aren’t left wondering what needs to happen. Plus, when you go to swim lessons year round you have many chance to practice the skills needed to succeed. Which brings me to point four.
4. Repetition
I don’t know about you, but when I am learning a new skill I want all the practice I can get. Kids are no different. With year long lessons you don’t have to worry about them regressing when starting lessons again, because they never stopped.
5. Warm water
At Goldfish the water (and air temperature) is kept at 90 degrees. That is a great feeling in the dead of winter. Makes you feel like you’re on a tropical vacation! 😉
