I don’t know about you, but Friday’s in summer just seem a little bit better than usually. Maybe it’s the anticipation of spending the weekend in the sun. Maybe it’s all the fun to be had. I’m not sure, but I do know I’m glad it’s Friday.
ONE: Dance Recital
Last weekend Annabelle had her first dance recital. And, oh my goodness, it was so. stinking. cute. She was in the earlier show, which had lots of little kids. And if you’ve ever been to a dance recital you know that means lots of kids looking around while on stage, then doing a few dance moves (which may or may not have been in their dance).
They asked us not to take pictures during the show, but I have a few from her dress rehearsal that I snapped with my phone.
Would you look at the little tutu!
She was also in a tap dance, but the pictures didn’t turn out so well (all the needed to do was switch the skirt, so it wasn’t a huge deal to change).
I did take some family pictures after the recital as well.
Annabelle with Matt and I.
With Banner (Matt’s Grandma), Mimi (Matt’s Mom), and Cuk (Matt’s Granfather)
Annabelle with Papa (My Dad) and Grammy (My Mom).
And a big thank you to Aunt Jill, who watched Autumn for us!
TWO: Family Movie Night
This weekend we are planning on having a family movie night! Jammies, tasty snacks, and a good movie. We don’t watch a ton of TV in our house, so watching a movie is usually a treat. Sometimes though, it can be hard to find a wholesome family movie. One where you don’t have to worry about fast forwarding though or covering your kid’s ears for swear word. Even a word that isn’t really bad, but one you don’t want repeated.
Enter Pure Flix.
Pure Flix is a family-friendly video streaming services. It movies for people of all ages, including kid movies, documentaries, religious films, how-tos, and more. At $11/ month it won’t break the bank either. Plus, they just partnered with Convoy of Hope, a faith based non profit organization that provides food, medicine and supplies to families in need.
Looking through the titles I’m particularly excited about all the Veggie Tales options! Because who doesn’t love Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber??

THREE: Swimming
**Note: I have a partnership with Goldfish Swim School. All comments and opinions are my own.**
I don’t know if I mentioned this or not, but Annabelle moved up in swimming!! I’ll be doing a more detailed post next week, but I am so happy for her!
She went from holding on to her teacher for dear life, to this:
FOUR: #300hoursoutside check-in
So far we have spend almost 24 hours outside! Have you joined my challenge yet? If you have, be sure to use #300hoursoutside when posting pictures! Pretty please, I’d love to see this take off!

It’s been a super busy week on the blog (which will not be the norm this summer).
Re-caped my *failed* May Goals and shared my June Goals
Shared a yummy Firecracker Truffle
Showed you what was on our summer bucket list
Posted Little Letters (a day early).
