And so it is March. I always forget how slowly January goes by, but then February just happens in a snap. When I realized it was time to recap my goals I got a little nervous, since I was pretty sure I failed miserably. Between sick kids, February break, and snow days I didn’t have much time to take a look at my goals.
Once I looked at them though I saw it wasn’t completely terrible. Did I get done everything? No. No I did not. But I did accomplish more than I originally thought.
Blog Goals
- Grow IG to 2060: Nope this did not happen. I’ve been kinda stuck at 2040 for a while now. I try to be active, and use the right hashtags, and post decent pictures, but I must be missing something. I don’t really want to join any follow loops (#1: I only want to follow people I am interested in following and #2: I hate the follow unfollow game.
apply to sponsored post: while I haven’t heard back from anything yet, I am getting back into applying for sponsored posts.- plan ahead: yeah… nope.
- Try to do more micro blogs on Facebook: another big no
- blog at least twice a week: February was crazy, this did not happen.
So… my blogging goals were my biggest fail of this month. I’m still in this strange season of life, where I’ve lost my “creative mojo” so blogging it hard. I love posting recipes and DIY things, but haven’t had the time to actually do anything. I don’t want to create crap posts just so I can post something, so I opt for just not posting.
Health Goals
drink at least 4 tumblers (which is 8 glasses) of water a day. Strive for 5: I have been pretty about drinking my water. Some days I may not quite make it, but most days I do.continue working out- increase lifting weight: I did good in this area too. I bought some new dumbbell bars so that I could have a heavier set of weights to use. I really want to buy those adjustable weights, but that won’t happen for a while.- healthy snacks during the day: I still struggle with this, but am getting better.
limit sweets: since I gave up desserts for Lent, this one has been easy to do.Stick with healthy snacks at night (except weekends): once again, giving up desserts means no Oreos while we watch TV.
So I think I did best with my health goals, which I guess is a good thing. I can’t really do much of anything else if my health suffers.
Personal Goals
- break down passion goals into specifics- add time line to get them done: Nope didn’t get to this one.
limit screen (specifically when kids are up): I have been good about this. It’s been kind of a hard habit to break but I am working on it. It is just too easy to get pulled into mindless scrolling. I have a “digital wellbeing” setting in my phone which shows me how long I am on each app. I’ve been able to keep it below two hours for Facebook and IG combined, which I find pretty good. I think I want to find a better tracker so I can see my monthly stats.- finish Unicorn blanket: Nope, but I am getting close.
plan Annabelle’s party: Her party is planned, now I just have to get everything done for it!
This section was kind of a wash. I did alright with some things, and not so great with others.
Now onto my March Goals!
