This weekend was busy, busy, busy! I had so much going on, and I feel like I need a weekend to recover from my weekend. I’ve got a bit of a photo dump for you, so hope you enjoy!!
Friday
I mentioned in my Five on Friday post that I was heading to the DIA. Since I live in Metro Detroit, it is free for me, so I figured why not go explore, it doesn’t cost anything!
I’d say one of the most famous pieces there is the Diego Rivera mural.
The girls didn’t last too long, so we left after about an hour and half. Next up on the agenda was lunch. We headed to Corktown to try out Mercury Burger and Bar. I had a yummy burger, the girls had hotdogs, and we ended with a milkshake.
It was great to catch up with my friend. We’ve known each other since we were six, and no matter how much time has passed, we can pick right back up. I feel so lucky that I have friendships like this in my life.
Autumn fell asleep on the way home for about 20 minutes, which meant no nap. We spent the rest of the day trying to clean up and do laundry.
Saturday
On Saturday, I dropped the girls off at Grammy and Papa’s and headed out to help with an event for the Detroit Mom’s Blog. They hosted Bloom, and event for new and expecting moms. It was so cool to see all the fun items out there for moms today.
As soon as I got back, the whole family headed to Goldfish Swim School for their Water Safety Day Event. I’ll be posting more about that later, but we had a blast. By the time we got home and finished dinner it was basically time for bed for the girls.
Sunday
Sunday started off raining and going to church. After we got back we had to start preparing for my parents to come over for a late Mother’s Day Celebration. Despite the crazy amount of rain we got, we still had fun.
Like I said, a fun, but busy weekend! In between all of that I was preparing another blog post for today, so be sure to come back and check it out! 🙂
