I can’t believe it’s finally Thursday, which means one day closer to Friday. This week seemed to drag by, and I’ll be glad to see the weekend. Although that means only two more weeks until Annabelle’s first day of school! Eeeek! I’ve reached the 1/2 point in this pregnancy, so come see how this week was. Plus find out if we are having a boy or girl!
How far along: 20Â weeks
Baby Size:Â baby is as big as a banana
Cravings:Â nothing that I would consider a craving.
Symptoms: I do think that I am experiencing some heartburn here and there. So that’s not fun.
Sleep: I have been sleeping a little better. I think since I’m getting up early again, I’m so worn out by the end of the day, that I drift into slumber land quickly.
Movement: still feels like more waves than kicks. When I had our ultrasound last week, we discovered once again, I have an anterior placenta. This mean the placenta is in front and kinda cushions feeling the movement. I was a bit disappointed, since I was really hoping to feel more movement than I have in the past.
Clothing: it’s so hard right now, since I don’t have a whole heck of a lot of summer maternity clothes. I feel like I am wearing the same thing over and over again. Since we are trying to stick to a budget, I can’t just go out and buy a bunch of new clothes. I’ll be glad when fall rolls around, and I can wear my big sweaters again.
Miss Anything: being able to have a wider selection of clothes? Â
Favorite thing from the Week: Finding out the gender of our little one (technically we found out last week). And…. it’s a…..
Yep, we are adding a third little girl to our family. I won’t lie, we were all kinda hoping for a boy (Matt a little more than kinda), but that doesn’t change how much we will love this one. Now I get to be a mama to all girls. Lord help me in the teenage years….
Next up is to figure out a name. If it were a boy, the name would have been Parker. I had that name picked out since Annabelle. But since it’s a girl, we are going to stick with the A name trend (which wasn’t really planned). It’s been hard trying to find a name that 1. isn’t already being used by a friend 2. doesn’t remind us of someone we dislike 3. is unique, but not too unique. Also, I want to try to not have the name start with An or Au. So wish us luck!
Big Sisters: sometimes it warms my heart to see them play together. Annabelle will “read” to Autumn and it is just the cutest thing ever. Other times I feel like I’m breaking up a wrestling match.
Getting Excited About: Fall!! It’s August, which basically means it’s fall, right??? I just love fall so much! I’ll be on a quest to find some pasteurized apple cider that tastes like real apple cider.
What about you? How has your week been going??
