I can’t believe that I am down to single digit weeks. These chalkboards are getting harder and harder for me to remember to do… but here’s hoping I can keep it up at the tail end of my pregnancy.
How far along: 31 weeks
Baby Size: Baby is as big as a coconut
Symptoms: Thankfully the carpal tunnel has died down a bit. My fingers on my left hand are still kinda tingly most of the time, but at night there isn’t any pain.
Movement: Baby girls is def. moving in there. Like I’ve said earlier, my placenta is anterior (meaning it’s in the front) and that makes it much harder to feel movement.
Sleep: I am still very thankful that sleep is going alright. I do toss from side to side. And if I lay on my side for too long the inside of my ear starts to kill me. Does this happen to anyone else???
Clothing: I’ve been wearing a little Halloween outfit I picked up from Motherhood Maternity on major sale. It’s a shirt that says “something’s brewing” and then has a cauldron on my belly.
Miss Anything: Mulled wine, caffeine, being able to bend over.
Best thing from the Week: Thankfully I am not feeling so blah this week. I have a few down moments, but overall much better. The best thing from this week was helping at Mummies Night Out, an event put on by the Detroit Mom’s Blog. It was nice to get out of the house (and not have to do bath and bed) and mingle with friends. Tomorrow I’m going into Annabelle’s class to help carve pumpkins, so that should be fun!
Big Sisters: They can not wait to go trick-or-treating for Halloween. Mom has been working frantically on finishing up their costumes. I am usually done by this time, but that did not happen this year. The costumes aren’t as involved as the last years, but just adding the little detail.
Getting Excited About: My next OB appointment. I will also get to talk to the anesthesiology team, so I have my fingers (and toes and legs and arms) crossed that there is some small amount of possibility that I won’t have to be put under for my c-section. Or if I do that Matt will be allowed to be in the OR with me until they put me to sleep.
