Another week has come and gone. In a few short weeks Annabelle will be starting Kindergarten (if I didn’t mention it already. Like 100 times). I’m doing my best to try and soak up these last few weeks I have with her being home. I know it will be a huge change once she is no longer here with me all day. Anyways, onto the update (and yes, I kept the flowers for another week, because they took me a little while to do).
How far along: 21 weeks
Baby Size: baby is as big as a banana… which I know is what I said last week, but I read something else and this week it’s the same… so… I’ll just go with it. Also, I still sing “this s#!t is bananas b-a-n-a-n-a-s” whenever I write bananas.
Cravings: give me all the chocolate please. Although, if we are being honest, I love chocolate all the time.
Symptoms: Besides a growing belly not a whole lot. Sometimes it’s hard to get off the couch, so that’s fun. 😉
Sleep: Thankfully sleep as been pretty good lately. <<knocks on all the wood>>
Movement: still feeling random waves, or perhaps the baby is stretching. Nothing that I consider “kicks” but once again, since my placenta is in the front, it cushions things.
Clothing: still rocking the same few outfits. My friend is coming for a play date next week, and since she just had her baby, said she’ll bring me maternity clothes! YAY!
Miss Anything: having a glass of wine with friends
Favorite thing from the Week: having a play date with a friend from middle school and her two cuties. All the kids had an absolute blast in the pool. I loved watching them jump in, get out, and jump in again. Over, and over. Plus it was nice to get some adult conversation in. Since moving I haven’t really seen a lot of my pals, and it’s been rough. Like really rough. If you didn’t know, I’m a pretty social person. I miss being able to text the ladies in the neighborhood saying “Oh my gosh, we need a play date stat”, and then having a play date a few hours later. Once school starts I hope to meet more moms in the neighborhood, so that I don’t feel quite so isolated.
Big Sisters: like always they have their good times, and their not so good times. I think Annabelle has been missing play dates as well, which causes her and her sister to fight even more. I still don’t know what Autumn will do when Annabelle is at school all day. She didn’t really seem to care when Annabelle went to preschool last year, but that was only two half days, and one full day, so this will be a big change.
Getting Excited About: Still stocked about Fall, because fall=the best. I’ve got a few craft ideas that I hope to do soon. And I know this has nothing to do with pregnancy, but I just love fall, so will probably be talking about it much, much more now. 😉 I’m also excited to see how my head shots turned out for the Detroit Moms Blog (of which I am a contributor). We took the pictures on top of a parking structure in Detroit Tuesday night, and I know they are going to be amazing, because Emma, the photographer is an absolute rock star.
How are things going with you? Are your kids back to school yet?
