It’s no lie that I love Christmas. I always love getting crafty with my kids. I really think creativity is important in their development, but that’s a topic for a whole other post. 😉
Today I am sharing with you a super easy craft you can do, with things you probably already have on hand, salt dough ornaments.
These are super easy to make, and turn out really cute. 🙂
So, to start off you have to make the dough.
4 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 1/2-ish cups water
First, mix all the ingredients together.
It was super hard to mix with the spoon, so I put Annabelle to work kneading it.
Then roll that dough out.
Cut into desired shapes and use a straw to make holes for string. I totally forgot that part, and ended up hot gluing string to the back. I made holes last year, way easier.
Bake for about one hour at 325.
Allow them to cool, then let your littles paint them (we used acrylic paint).
I painted the wreath seen in the back, but let Annabelle have at it with the rest.
Do you like her technique of using all the brushes at once?
Let the ornaments dry then hang them up, or wrap them and give them as gifts.
See how easy that was!?
