Hello Friday! It’s always nice when the weekend comes. I am pretty stoked because I get to go sign Aubrie up for preschool today! I always get a little nervous since preschools fill up fast. Also, thankfully I am finally feeling better. We have a somewhat busy weekend planned, so I’m glad I got that cold out of the way. This week was pretty low key, but I still wanted to share some highlights.
One: What’s on the menu
Sunday: Tacos
Monday: choose your own leftovers
Tuesday: Tilapia
Wednesday: Shrimp Spaghetti
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: frozen or choose your own
Saturday: family birthdays
Two: What we are watching
Matt and I have been watching Resident Alien staring Alan Tudyk. In the series Alan plays an alien who get stranded on Earth and has to blend in. He has to pass himself as a small town doctor, Harry Vanderspeigle.
Three: Wordle Domination
Just wanted to share my amazing Wordle from this week.
Four: Kitchen helpers
One of my goals this month is to have the girls help a little more in the kitchen (much to their dismay). My hope is that by helping me with dinner, they will be less likely to complain and more likely to eat it. This week they helped with making the shrimp spaghetti.
Five: What I’m making
For many of the recipes I make using home milled flour I have to sift out some of the bran. I’ve now started using it to make bran flakes. While they don’t taste exactly like the bran flakes from raisin bran, they are still pretty tasty.
Aubrie and I built this awesome fort one day while her sisters were at school. Aubrie had a blast pretending she was a cat, and that it was her cat house.
There you have it! I hope an amazing weekend!
