I always love a good goal post. Maybe it’s the planner/ list maker in me, but being able to check items off a list just makes me smile. Since I didn’t really have tons of goals for December, there is no recap, so I’ll be jumping right into my January goals.
I’m a big fan of separating my goals into categories. I think it’s easier to read, and forces me to think of a wider variety of ways I can improve on things in my life.
Health
- do a dry January (I’m actually striving for a dry 3 months)
- use my fitness pal to better keep track of food
- take a walk 2X a week
- drink 8-12 cups of water
- 10k steps
- do something for my mental health
A little more about these goals. After indulging a little more than normal in December I figured I’d do a dry January. I’ve done a month or so before, but wanted to challenge myself to go longer. Obviously I have been pregnant three times, so have gone 10 months, but it is different when you can drink. In terms of tracking my food, I’m not so concerned about calorie count, as much as I just want to keep a handle on mindless munching.
Create
- finish the crochet angel for the tree topper (so we can actually use it next year)
- get a few more bullet journal month spreads done
- create something with the yarn I got from Christmas
- Clean/organize my office (again…. and again…. and again… it’s never ending)
Spiritual
- do 10 minutes a day with the kids
- write a daily gratitude
- find some sort of bible study or reflection for myself. One that is simple.
Personal
- Limit social media use on phone
- try for a no spend January
- take a picture a day
- track our grocery spending
- sub once a week
- new skin care routine
- thinking about what to include if I were to make a “crafting through the seasons” book. This is a big ??? For a while now I’ve been wanting to do something… more. So I’ve thought and written lists, and it always comes back to some sort of creative thing. And since I’d consider myself a “Jill of all trades, master of none” I’ve been considering a book that has a combination of different crafts. Crocheting, knitting, cooking, sewing. I have no idea if this is something people would find awesome or kind of weird, but I have to actually do some of it to figure it out.
Blog
- post 1X week
- figure out how to fix a few recipes that google told me I needed to fix
- create some new pins for older posts, and review Pinterest Ninja
- start commenting on fellow bloggers blogs
And there you have it. My goals for January of 2023! I hope everyone has an amazing week!
