I hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend. Nothing exciting happened around here. We got some things done around the house, and I started preparing for the official start of home school. I never imagined that I would be homeschooling, but here we are. Last night was the first night since March that the older girls have had to sleep in their own beds (they have been having sleepovers). Today though, I wanted to share a simple and tasty treat I made, baked peaches with streusel topping.
These peaches are so easy to make, and taste fantastic. Simply make the struesel topping, carve out a small hole, fill it with struesel, and bake. Easy peasey peachy squeezy (you see what I did there, right?).
Baked Peaches with Streusel Topping
Ingredients
- 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 stick butter
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 5-6 peaches
Instructions
- Cube the butter. Mix all ingredients with either a pastry cutter or pulse in a food possessor until it forms a crumb like texture.
- Remove the pit, and using a paring knife to make that hole a little bit larger.`
- Fill it with struesel and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
See how simple this dish is. But it is so tasty!! It would taste especially amazing with vanilla ice cream or a caramel sauce.
