It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is coming up. If you read my November goals post, then you know that we will be hosting this year. Since it’s not going to be a huge group I thought it would be nice to use our china and set the table “fancy”. I made these DIY Thanksgiving Napkin Rings and I am so excited to share them.
Do you know whats extra cool about these? Much of it is made with materials I found at the dollar store!
Use shower curtain rings and wrap with ribbon
I bought these shower curtain rings from the dollar store. I then wrapped them with ribbon I had at home already.
When you wrap them, put a glob of hot glue to hold the end down when you start. I then used hot glue a few more times throughout (with extra when I got half way done).
Make thankful tags
I made these tags using kraft paper I got from the dollar store. I then used my silhouette cameo to design the tags. Did you know you can write and cut with the silhouette cameo 3 without needed to change anything out? And even though the pen was in the second bay the program still new to do the writing first, then cut it out. If you have a silhouette and want the file, you can download it here.
Use yarn and button to thread thankful tag on
I then used a yarn needle to thread some yarn through a button (bought at JoAnn Fabrics) then made a hole through the tag.
Hot glue some fake leaves onto the button
I bought a small bag of leaves that I hot glued to the back of the button.
Glue button onto ring
Last up, glue the button to the shower curtain ring.
And that’s it! Now you have an easy DIY Thanksgiving napkin ring to wow your guests.
