This weekend was a bit scary. Matt and I have two cats (Lilly and Snickers), who we’ve had for four years. On Saturday we realized we don’t remember the last time we saw Lilly. She didn’t come down for dinner which was really strange. Matt had been using the saw in the garage so we thought maybe she was scared and hiding. We checked in her known hiding places, but couldn’t find her. So we started wondering if she had somehow gotten out, which would be strange since she isn’t exactly the most brave cat. So Saturday evening we went outside and checked around the house calling for her. Nothing. So we hoped that she was just inside hiding and that she would come out at night when things were calm. That night I had the most restless sleep I have had in a while. All my dreams were about how we found Lilly, but then I woke up and she wasn’t there. Well Sunday morning, still no sign of her. Now Matt and I were really worried. What if she was sick and curled up somewhere in the house? What if she was lost outside? So we tried looking for her more all Sunday. After dinner Matt went outside to check again. After looking all around the house outside and in the bushes across the street, he came back to the house. He was calling her name, just about to give up when he swore he heard a faint meow, coming from our neighbors house. So he went over, looked in the bushes and there she was! I was so overjoyed when he came to the door holding her!

can’t wait to make and can some applesauce, since last year all the
orchards were closed due to an early warming trend followed by a late
frost.
