During my blogging hiatus we celebrated Annabelle’s birthday. When I asked what sort of party she wanted, PJ Masks was the answer. Despite the fact that I do not think “bedtime is the right time to fight crime,” and that I think Owlette seems to cause more problems in the group than Catboy or Gecko, I knew a PJ Masks Birthday Party would be a fun party to throw.
The first thing I knew I wanted to do was create felt masks for the kids to choose from.
Full disclosure, I think I may have temporarily forgotten I had a newborn at home. I cut out and sewed each one of those masks, and made enough for each kid to pick two.
They were a hit though, so I’m glad that I did it. But if I ever decide to do something like this again, remind me that it’s a lot of work.
I couldn’t throw a party without sugar cookies of course! I had to order the mask cookie cutters online, but am pretty impressed with how they turned out. Although I have to say, my favorite cookies I have made where from Annabelle’s Little Mermaid Party.
I also made a snack table, because can I really call it a party without one? There were cupcakes, chips, fruit, chocolate covered pretzels and punch.
And I totally didn’t take any pictures of this, but we played a few games as well. Pin the mask on Catboy, and a beanbag toss where they targets with the logos from headquarters.
Overall everything was a big hit. Annabelle had a blast, and Aubrie slept right in the middle of all the chaos because #3rdkidproblems.
If you want to take a walk down memory lane here is Annabelle’s 1st Pink Ombre Party, I guess I didn’t blog her 2nd party, 3rd Hello Kitty Party, 4th Bubble Guppies, and 5th Little Mermaid party,
