I have decided it’s time to start seriously getting my butt back in gear. The holidays are long over and my 30th birthday is looming in the horizon. In January the moms club I am a part of started a “Diet Bet”. The goal was to lose 4% of your body weight by the end of January. I knew that wouldn’t be feasible for myself, but decided to set a personal goal of losing 4% of my body weight by my 30th birthday in March. I’m not overweight, but not where I want to be either. While dropping a few pounds would be nice, I am also trying to firm up and gain more muscle.
I have always loved working out, even when I was pregnant. I only stopped because my blood pressure was too high around 30ish weeks and my Dr. told me I had to take it easy. It was hard! Then when I ended up with a c-section I had to wait even longer to resume working out. I was so relived when I got the ok to take a walk. This month I have been losing weight one week, then gaining some back the next It’s been frustrating, but I know it’s due to my slight major addiction to sweets. We still have Christmas cookies which I have been munching on, plus probably snacking a little too much in general. I also know I can’t cut too many calories since I am still breastfeeding and I don’t want my supply to drop. Today I decided it’s time to start logging what I eat again so I hold myself accountable. I use an app called “my fitness pal” (which you can also get online) to track the food I have eaten as well as my exercise. I’m hoping that by doing this I can get myself in check. I will try to update periodically on how it is going.
So enough about me, and on to Annabelle. She is now beginning to eat finger food and feed herself. I was (and still am) worried that she is going to choke, but so far she has been doing pretty well. She will occasionally stuff to much food in her mouth and start to cough. She really loves cheerios and bananas. I feed her some banana blueberry pancakes the other day that were a big a hit.
