Hello March!! As much as I love the snow, comfort food, and cuddling under a blanket, I do enjoy the change that March brings. Well, that it sometimes brings. March in the midwest can be 50° one day then 20° and snowy the next. Really our spring weather tends to start more in April/May, but sometimes March can surprise us.
Now, let’s take a look at how my February goals went. I know I didn’t accomplish quite as many as I did in January, but I did better than other months.
Blog
~ Hit 10k followers on Pinterest: I did this! I am now at 10, 238! Woot! I had one pin that got a ton of views (and generate a great deal of traffic to my blog). It was a pin for my Valentine dessert board from last year. Why it took off, I have no idea… but I’d love if some of my other pins (particularly some evergreen content) would do the same, as my page views have dropped dramatically.
~ New pins for old post: I re-did a bunch of pins for my button clover, and a few for my bunny munch.
~ Review pins to see metrics: I am doing better about this. I created a sheet to help me keep track of pins so I can check out metrics. My hope is to use this info to see which pins are doing well, and how to change ones that aren’t. If you want a copy of the sheet you can get it here.
~ Grow IG to 2k (which is 56 followers) I really don’t foresee this happening,
as I have been struggling too grow past where I am. I gain a few loose a few: well this is a negative. I did not get even close to this. In fact I am pretty sure I lost followers. It doesn’t help I wasn’t very consistent, so I’m not really that upset.
~ Get ahead in posts: I didn’t really get this done either. Some weeks better than others, but not consistent. I do have a rough idea of what posts I want for next month, so I am really hoping to bust some of them out.~ Revamp FB cover: it’s nothing crazy, but I did do this. Check it out here.~ Get pattern up for knit hat: I finally got this posted! Get the pattern here.
Crafts
~Finish new knit hat: I finished two of these hats! And my plan is to get it on the blog asap.
~ knit (or crochet) slipper socks: this is a negative. Those hats took longer than I thought.
~ knit or crochet a cowl: well I started one…. but have not finished it.
~make more stickers (and figure out how to share them on the blog): Well, I did print up or stickers, but still trying to figure out how to share the on the blog.
~start sweater: hahaha nope. As I said, my craft goals were a bit… lofty… to say the least.
~ look for something to improve my photography or editing skills: didn’t even look.
Health
~Start a journal or some other way to help keep my mental health in check: nope, didn’t get this done. I really should just find the time to do something.~continue chugging water: I am doing pretty great at chugging water.~eat more fish: I have been having fish more often for lunch, and the occasional dinner (which isn’t hard since Friday’s during Lent we don’t eat meat). ~continue with healthy lunches: I have been much better at eating healthy lunches. And I think that, combined with working out, and really watching what I eat has helped me drop a few inches.
Other
~get outside more: not as much time as I’d like.
~ redo my cleaning list: nope… this is getting bumped to this month.
~ re-organize and clean out craft room : as of February 27th nope
~practice the piano: another negative~read one book: I read three books! The Other Women, Behind Closed Doors, and The Awakening. I am onto book #4 Kiss my Cupcake.
So as you can see, while I did well in some areas, other areas not so much. I am happy with what I did accomplish, so am not going to get too upset over what didn’t get done. We did have a mid winter break in February which meant everyone was home, so I didn’t have Aubrie’s nap time to myself. Now, onto March goals!
