So I know in my last post I said I was back, then all of a sudden ten days passed and I hadn’t gotten a post up. Some days I feel like I take two steps forward, then the next day three steps back.
Like I said in my previous post adding a third kid has rocked my world a bit more than I thought it would. And it’s not that Aubrie is a difficult child. In all honesty she is pretty easy going (**knocks on all the wood in an attempt to not jinx it**). I’m not as cray-cray about a nap schedule. Because when you have to go shopping, take the older two to a doctor, do school pick drop off and pick up you can’t be. Still finding the time to sit and actually think is basically 0.0.
At any rate, I figured I’d share five things that have been going on lately.
ONE
My office is painted. I have an amazing shelf set up!
I went with revere pewter from Benjamin Moore, and I love how it turned out. I plan on doing a little more of a before/after post, but for now I wanted to share a little.
I think this shelf is what I am most excited about. It allows me to have all of my fabric and yarn visible. I even was able to sort my fabric by holiday, and color. It’s still not exactly how I want it, but it is way better than the overflowing bins I had.
TWO
Lately anything that Annabelle does Autumn has to do too. For example, this pose:
PS… how cute are those shirts??? I need one in my size please.
Then, for March is reading month Annabelle got to dress up as her favorite character, and she chose Piggie from the Elephant and Piggie books. If you have a Kindergartner or First grader I highly recommend them. Of course Autumn had to dress up too. And if you are wondering, yes she wore this to Costco.
THREE
I’ve been working on my fitness. If you remember a while back I wrote about how this post pregnancy is way different than my other two. Besides needing to take medication for high blood pressure that developed after delivery (which I am weaning off of), I retained a lot of weight.
I was very luck with both Annabelle and Autumn as I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight a few weeks after having them. I was breastfeeding and one of the lucky ones I guess.
Well with Aubrie I was still breastfeeding, but nothing budged, and it was tough. So when I was giving the OK to work out again I was ready. And not just to lose weight (although that was part of it), but because I enjoy how I feel when I work out, both mentally and physically. I am happy to say that I am down a few pounds and getting stronger.
FOUR
We had Annabelle’s birthday party, which was PJ Masks themed. If I get my act together I may actually do a post on it… but only time will tell.
One of the things I did was create masks so every kid could choose a hero.
I loved how they all turned out, which is a good thing, since they took me a little bit to make.
FIVE
I’ve been trying to do a lot more reading this year. I love getting lost in a book, but haven’t read nearly as much as I’d like this past years.
So far this year I have read three books, and am about 1/2 through my fourth.
So far I have read
Peacefully Parenting, Happy Kids (which I should probably review)
Blood and Bone by Nora Roberts
Dark Witch also by Nora Roberts
Shadow Spell (sequel to Dark Witch)
If you have any book suggestions leave them for me! I am partial to fiction, and am not really picky. I love the fantasy/magically, murder mystery, comedy… really most books.
