Today I am linking up with Stephanie of Wife Mommy Me, for her holiday home tour!
I may be super pregnant, but I wasn’t going to let that stand in the way of getting my home all decorated for Christmas. One day, Matt came home and was like “wow! You were busy.” Yes, yes I was.
This being our first Christmas in our new house, I really had to try to figure out how I wanted to decorate. I also had to use most of what we already had since we have been trying to save money (although I did spring on some pre-lit garland for the banister since it was a good deal at Costco).
Without further ado!
First off we have the kitchen. I decided to put some lights and garland around to make it just a bit more festive.
And the other side of the sink. In our old house we had this on top of our kitchen cabinets, but I wanted t change it up, and really like how it turned out.
Next up is our tree and mantel. You may recall in our old house we had a super huge mantel the spanned the entire wall. At the end of the season last year I bought some more garland on major sale, which works well on this mantel. Although, now I think this mantel is a little small. But since I’m not really a fan of it anyways, I hope we can make it a little larger in the future.
And of course I have to show off my Christmas stockings. I have yet to make one for baby #3, but she’ll have one next year.
Since we no longer have a ginormous mantel, all the little knick knacks needed a new home, so I put them on top of the toy cube shelf. I really wanted to have the girls make some Christmas pictures to replace the ones in the above the cube shelf, but that just didn’t happen.
We have a crazy amount of twinkle lights. I put some in the bathroom as well. This is the best picture I could get, sorry it’s kinda tilted.
And I have to have these fun plates and mugs out! We got them as a gift at our wedding and I just love them! I don’t necessarily like where I have them displayed, but for now this works.
And my favorite part of the new house to decorate was the foyer and banister! When Matt and I got married we got this Christmas train that he grandpa made. We used to put it out, but then had to stop because the cats were playing with it. Now we found the perfect place for it. I also made the sign at a fun little workshop, and think it works great here!
We also have Santa bears going up the stairs.
Finally the banister!
Not pictured is the outdoors. We also have a living room and dinning room that we didn’t get a chance to decorate since there are still boxes in it.
So what about you?? Do you have your house done up for Christmas??
