Now, if you read this blog regularly, you know that I love fall. The weather, the food, the football, it’s all amazing. Well, everything but one thing.
Cold and flu season.
In years past I’ve been pretty blessed, but this year, not so much. My girls have already been sick a total of five times. Their favorite game to play as of lately is “pass the sickness”. Raise your hand if you’ve been there too. There is nothing worse than not having the necessities on hand when sickness strikes, which is why I stocked up on the essentials the last time I was doing my grocery shopping at Kroger.
I mean really, is there anything worse than having a running nose, only to realize you have no Kleenex® in the house?! Once you get all of your essentials, it’s important to have them readily available, not hiding somewhere where you will never find them. That’s why I want to share with you how I organize all of my cold and flu items, plus give you some free printable storage labels.
So what exactly do I like to have on hand once the weather turns a bit chilly? Well, the first thing that comes to mind when I think cold season is runny noses. No one likes having a red rough nose, which is why I turn to Kleenex® Soothing Lotion tissues. Not only do they provide dependable care, but the ultimate softness is gentle on my nose. Did you know they are infused with pure aloe and vitamin E? These help to soothe tender skin.
Besides making sure I stay stocked up with Kleenex, I also love to sip on tea. Lipton now has a variety of teas in which carefully selected botanicals are blended with natural essential oils. For those nasty bugs that make your tummy feel less than best, choose Soothe Your Tummy. Or, if you are looking for a drink that will sing you to sleep, like a lullaby in a cup,* pick up Bedtime Bliss. Maybe your little one just came home with a cough, and you are looking for an excellent source of Vitamin C that helps support your body’s natural defenses*. Then Daily Support is what you are looking for.
Finally, maybe the flu has you or your husband down for the count. Looking to treat those not so pleasant flu symptoms? Turn to Theraflu, where you can get powerful relief without a prescription. Plus the Theraflu Power Pods Daytime Severe Cold (also available in Nighttime Severe Cold) fits right in your routine. They are compatible with most single-serve coffee makers, and these fast-relieving pods work on even your severe symptoms.
Like I mentioned earlier, it’s important that you actually know where these items are so you can use them when needed. Instead of throwing everything in medicine cabinet or linen closet all nilly willy, why not get bins to keep things organized. Seriously, I used to just have everything jumbled up, and it was always so hard to find anything. And when you’re sick, the last thing you want to to do is spend time digging around a medicine cabinet looking for what you need.
Since I’ve made this labels it has been so simple to find what we need. In addition to organizing the bins, I also labeled them making it extra easy to find what I need. And guess what? I am providing you with these free storage labels I even included a sheet of blank ones in case you need different labels.
Now I have all of my cold and flu necessities organized in my linen closet for easy access. And since all my medicine is in a bin, I have lots of extra space to store the essentials that don’t go in bins.
So what are you waiting for? Head to Kroger today to pick up everything you need to be prepared for cold and flu season. There are even three amazing deals going on, so be sure to check them out!
