How on earth is it already the last Wednesday of September??? I feel like we just started school, and now we’ve been at it for five weeks (although this is our first full week due to days off for holidays). I can’t believe that October will be here soon, and then before we know it, it will be Christmas! This really is the best time of the year!!
It’s time for another addition of What’s Up Wednesday! These posts are so much fun to do at the end of each month.
What We’re Eating
Sunday: Grilled Italian Sausage and hot dogs
Monday: Spaghetti
Tuesday: White Chicken Chili
Wednesday: Taco Black Bean Bake
Thursday:Frozen Leftovers
Friday: Beef Stew
Saturday: Pizza
What I’m Reminiscing about
I can’t say that I am really reminiscing about anything at the moment. I mean fall is my favorite time of the year, so I am so excited it is here.
What I’m Loving
FALL!! FALL! FALL!!
Oh… did I mention fall?!
If you’ve followed this blog for any amount of time then you’ll know that fall-Christmas is my happy time.
We’ve already been to a few apple orchards and cider mills (and are planning on going to a few more).
I planted mums in my front porch pots (a first for me). While I didn’t do a whole lot of fall decor I am looking forward to adding more Halloween decorations.
Wearing boots and a jean jacket.
This is just the best time of year.
What We’ve Been Up To
Still trying to get settled in our new house. I feel like this is going to be my line for the next year… how long is it acceptable to blame things on having “just moved”? Currently I’m Trying to figure out what pictures I want to put up for a gallery wall going up the stairs. Do I pick pictures first? Or figure out the types of frames I want??
Here’s my “blank canvas”:
I’m also trying to decide how to decorate for Christmas. I am so excited to have a banister up the stairs, so you know that’ll get garland and they whole nine yards.
I’ve also been busy growing a baby, and working on checking items off our fall bucket list.
What I’m Dreading
Not a whole lot actually.
What I’m Working On
I’ve been working on a variety of things on the blog:
I just have to share this post again because I’m so damn proud of it! I created my own Hocus Pocus shirt to wear during this pregnancy. I shared the cut file (I have a Silhouette) with you all, so you can make your own!
I’m also trying to get better at organizing all my posts, and remembering when I post them to social media. It’s an on going work in progress.
Besides the stairs, I also want a gallery wall in the master bedroom. I am determined to have lots of pictures hanging up in this house. I’ve been pinning ideas, which I say is a start! Next up I think I’m going to try to decided on a basic design, then see if I can find frames to fit my idea.
I am also so happy that I have been able to get back into crocheting. Knitting bothers my pregnancy induced carpal tunnel way to much (which is sad since I was trying to make baby #3 a blanket). But it’s been nice picking up some yarn again. I like that I can bring this with me when the girls are dancing, or that I can do it while watching TV.
I’ve also got a few other Silhouette projects going, that you’ll have to wait for. 😉
What I’m excited about
Did I mention Fall? 😉
What I’m Watching
First and foremost loving that football it back!
I also am a fan of the Big Bang Theory, as well as The Good Place! So excited to have them back!
What I’m Reading
Nothing. I really should get to the library and find some books.
What I’m listening to
I honestly don’t listen to a whole lot of stuff. My go to Pandora station is Mumford and Sons. I know tons of people are into podcasts, but I just can’t get into them. I’m sure part of it is due to my hearing loss making it difficult to actually understand.
.
What I’m Wearing
Jeans and graphic t-shirts right now. All maternity. Yesterday I did a dress with leggings and boots. I’m honestly not the most fashion forward person. Now that fall is here, I am hoping to create some more put together looks. It’s hard to do, since you know #pregnant.
What I’m doing the weekend
The same thing we do every weekend… try to take over the world! <— anyone else watch Pinky and the Brain???
But really, the same thing we do every weekend, watch football. And probably work on the house. And by that I mean Matt and his mom will paint, while I do nothing of help with the house.
What I’m looking Forward To
Finding pictures and signs to hang in the house. In our old house we didn’t have a whole bunch of pictures on the walls. I informed Matt, that that would be changing in our new house. My first task is to do a gallery wall going up the stairs, then figure out what to do in the master bedroom.
Going for a hayride with my moms club next month! Every year the club organizes a hayride at our local park, and it’s always such a fun time! It’s crazy to think this will be the last year I’ll do it with two kids…
A few pictures from years past:
2014
Pre Autumn days!
2014
No pics, since Autumn was a newborn then.
2016
Gah! I can’t get over how small they both are!!
2017
A little selfie! I feel like they have gotten soooo much bigger from 2016-2017!
What else is new
Nothing much. Honestly I’m just trying to survive this move and being pregnant, and Annabelle being in Kindergarten.
What about you? What have you been up too?
