**I am pleased to be partnering with Goldfish Swim School to bring you this post. While they are providing lessons free of cost to me, all thoughts and comments are my own.**
We’ve been going to Goldfish for swim lessons for about a year and half, and I still love it, as do my kids! I have to say that Annabelle has come a long way! I remember when we first started she was hanging on to her teacher for dear life.
But now? She is so excited to jump in and swim to the island! Do you see her face in the water? Her kicks and pulls!? Every time I watch, I get a little prouder!
In fact, I could see a huuuuge improvement in her swimming abilities when we went to a friends pool earlier in the week. Last year, when we went swimming Up North she was not nearly as strong as a swimmer, and was still pretty nervous in the water. This time? She was laughing and playing with her friends (with me in the water too, since I’m still a little nervous). She loved showing me her pulls and kicks, and really had lots of confidence thanks to Goldfish.
Autumn has now been in her new class for about a month. Although she is still a little bit nervous, I can see improvements in her too. She loves tell everyone how she kicks and pulls, and works on blowing bubbles at home in the bath. We are still working on building her confidence, but I’m sure that will come. Her teacher is great at encouraging Autumn.
Besides amazing teachers (and small class sizes), the facility itself is awesome too! The front desk staff is great, and is always willing to help out if you need to schedule a make-up class. Plus they always greet my girls by name, which is so nice! I know I’ve talked about it before, but the pool and air on the pool deck is warm. They offer large changing rooms, and have a viewing area for parents to watch their kids during swim lessons. They also have snacks available, and an area to color at if you happen to get to lessons early. So, if you’re looking for a place for you child to take lessons at, see if there is a Goldfish Swim School around you. You won’t regret it!
