I’m back for another round of the $10 Target challenge. Not sure what it’s all about? It’s quite simple. Go to Target and spend $10 on something fun. Only spending $10 at Target you say?! Is that possible?! Yes, my friends, yes it is.
So, how did this month look?
My first stop as always, the dollar spot. They still had lot of Halloween stuff, but where also rolling out the Thanksgiving decorations.
We then meandered around the store. I checked Annabelle’s shoe size, to find out that her feet have indeed grown so we picked up a new pair of shoes. I was looking for a decent (but simple) shoe, and then Annabelle spotted some Shimmer and Shine shoes. She was so excited, I just couldn’t say no. Most of her shoes have been hand me downs from a coworker of my MIL, so I decided it was O.K. Even though I really dislike Shimmer and Shine (I mean, where are the parents?? How old are these kids?? But I suppose that’s a post for another day). Since that was not something “fun” it totally doesn’t count for this challenge…
Also… how have I not been using the cartwheel app?! I had to delete some unused apps to install it, and guess what. I saved like five bucks on the shoes!
A few other items I saw:
That shirt folks. I really, really. really wanted to buy it. I posted it on Facebook earlier, and it describes my feelings on the current political situation here in the States. And that is as political as I’ll get.
We also headed to the back of the store where the Halloween stuff it. Lots of cute stuff!
So what did I end up with.
Well I have a confession. I totally went over the $10 limit. I usually do pretty well (really I do, check out my past ones), but I couldn’t pass this up.
Yes folks. Yes. The Oregon Trail card game! Ever since the game came out I have been looking for it ( you can only get it at Target). They were always out of stock. So when I saw it, I grabbed it up!
We had a busy weekend, so I haven’t had a chance to play it yet, but I think it will be epic.
So my total…. $15. Yeah, way, way, over. But like I said, couldn’t pass it up! As soon as we play, I’ll letcha know how it was. 🙂
