Wait… how is it already May?!
Sorry for being kinda MIA the last week. Autumn had a fever on Monday, and since she still had it on Tuesday I took her into the doctor. Turns out she had influenza. We spent most of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday cuddling and just relaxing. She is better now (although pretty sure two bottom teeth are about to make their appearance).
The month of April seemed to fly by. I’m not going to lie though, I feel like I was kind of in a funk during the month of April. I’ve been getting down about silly things (mostly blog related), and haven’t been able to shake it. I haven’t really hung out with many friends this April, which I think may part of the reason I am in a funk. I’m a social person, so going a long time with out seeing friends gets to me.
**Disclaimer: this post has no pictures because the hubby is playing a Xbox game (hockey) online and uploading pictures causes the internet to slow, and his game to mess up. Check back in a day or two, and I’ll have some up.**
So, let’s take a look at my April goals, to see how I did.
Blog:
~Continue growing insagram (155): So I went from 155 to 228! I’m pretty stoked about that, since it’s all me. I’m thinking of signing up for likestagram, but don’t know if I want to do that or not.
~Plan out posts: so, I totally did plan out my posts… but getting them done was another issue. Doesn’t the saying go “the best laid plans of mice and men”? I think I thought I could take on too much, and well, I couldn’t.
~Be more active on twitter: not even close on this one… anyone have any tips on the best ways to use twitter?
~Include “click to tweet” in more posts: I have totally been doing this (man I love how easy it is with WordPress).
~Show love to other bloggers (you gotta give love to get it, right? 😉 ): well, I sorta have been doing this. Not nearly as much as I would like to though.
~Use stumbleupon: I have slowly been adding pages to my stumbleupon, I will continue to do that.
~Get 2,100 pageviews a month: umm… not even close. I got 1260 for April. I think changing from blogger to Google Analytics has something to do with how many page views I thought I was getting.
~ Go back and spruce up old posts (maybe 1-2 a week): Nope again….
~ Create “favorite posts” for sidebar: another nope…
~Photography lesson: This I did! It wasn’t my most exciting one, but you can read all about ISO here
Personal:
~Remember my word of the year, “breathe”: eh…. I’d like to cross it off, but I don’t think I quite made the cut
~Continue working out: for the most part yes, although I slacked a bit more this month than the past ones.
~ Get to the library more: Not really…
~ Plan learning activities for Annabelle: I totally have done more activites with Annabelle, but just haven’t had the time to blog about them.
~ Plan activities for Autumn: ugh… nope. I did make her a fun tactile teether though!
~Start spring cleaning: I totally did this, but still have so much to do. It you are looking for a list, you can check out my post here.
Etsy:
~Make some ready to sell diaper clutches: Nope, becuase I made some tags for them, but messed it up, so had to remake them. I got the new tags today though, and they should work, so be sure to check my Etsy store soon. I totally added a Fourth of July/ Memorial day hat (size 6-12 months, ready to be shipped) though, so if you are looking for a patriotic hat, check it out.
~Make some birthday shirts: Nope.
So, as you can see my April game wasn’t too strong. I think I need to scale back my goals for May, make them more doable. There is just not enough time in the day, then I get down on myself for not getting enough done. With that being said, let’s bring on the May goals!
PS: If you missed my Detroit Moms Blog post, about grocery shopping with kids, you should totally check it out. 😉
