I love decorating for the holidays. Unfortunately it can get expensive fast, which is why I like trying to make my own decorations (or hitting up stores when things are on major sale).
These blocks were going to be reversible (with Spartans on one side and Halloween on the other) but I never got around to finishing the Spartan side. I got my behind in gear and finished the Halloween side!
ONE:
Cut your blocks out.
The blocks on the top are 1 1/2 by 1 1/2.
The bottom block on the bottom is 10 1/2 by 2.

TWO:
Paint your blocks whatever color you choose (sorry, I forgot to take a picture).
THREE:
Cut your letters out and place them on you blocks to make sure you like how they look. I used a cricut, but you could cut them out by hand.
For the top blocks I used the outline of the letter, not the actual letter. I cut the squares a bit smaller than the actual block so help them stick on the block better. The pumpkins I used were cut out of scrapbook paper.
FOUR:
Apply 2-3 coats of Modge Podge. I found it was much easier to let the blocks dry on wax paper (as opposed to paper towel). The blocks didn’t sitck to the wax paper like they did to the paper towel.
FIVE:
Assemble and display your festive decoration!
I am excited to be linking up with a lot of fun blogs!
