Danielle’s back. Tell a friend.
Hello again blogging world! It’s been a long while since I wrote. Y’all this third kid thing hit me harder than I though tit would. Before we get more into that, I wanted to take a peek at my February Goals, just to see how I did.
BLOG
~ Write at least one post a week (try for two) : hahahaha yeah, that didn’t happen for February or March….
~Get tax stuff ready: done and done
~Organize blogging binder
~Post to IG at least every other day
PERSONAL
~ Finish Happy Parenting book: yep I finished that book, and even read a second book, and am on my third for the year.
~ Start fixing up office : my office is all fixed up, now just to get organized.
~ Work out: I am happy to say I have been working out. I really want to get my elliptical machine up in order to get some more intense cardio sessions in, but for now the online videos will do.
~ Drink more water: I have been doing great at this. I easily drink 10 glasses a day, probably more.
At any rate, as you can see my blogging goals really didn’t happen for the month of February or March for that matter.
Adding a third kid to the mix has rocked my world y’all.
Adjusting from two to three has been way more challenging than going from one to two. Maybe it’s because we moved in the summer and are still in the process of moving in/ fixing things. There are little things to do basically in every room.
Or maybe the fact that Annabelle started Kindergarten and trying to stay on top of what is going on in school, and supporting the teacher by doing things at home.
The fact that Autumn isn’t napping much anymore also didn’t help.
Then of course add the usually newborn antics of being up multiple times a night (I’m breastfeeding, so I’m the one who gets up), and the witching hour, and on demand nursing.
Between all of those, I just couldn’t do anything other than keep the kids and the husband fed. By the end of the day I was spent. All I could do was sit (or stand) and watch TV with my husband and infant.
So my blog was just there. I honestly had no desire to really do much with it. My creative motivation was at a zero. I had no ideas of recipes to make or crafts to do. And even if I did, there was no time for me to do it.
I’ve been blogging pretty regularly for 5 1/2 years, and honestly I think I needed this extended break. I don’t think I realized just how spent I was. During my break I didn’t have to worry about coming up with post ideas, taking pictures, or keeping up on all the social media.
Now that Aubrie is starting to go to bed in her crib I get some me time at night. I am hoping to slowly get back into blogging, but, if I am being honest, my creativeness is still pretty low.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading! I really do appreciate all my readers, and want to be honest with you. Check back soon for some highlights of what has been going on.
