I’m super proud of myself for getting in gear to join the link up. I still don’t have any time in the morning to myself (because I’m not about to get up early when I’m still up a few times a night feeding Autumn), and I’ve been doing lots of sewing during nap time (and that’s only when both girls are sleeping at the same time. Sometimes it doesn’t quite work out).
At any rate, here are Five on Friday!
One:
I have joined iStock as a contributor! I was super excited when I got accepted.
The other day, I was looking outside and realized how great all the fall leave looked. So I took some of my decorations off the mantel, and set them up outside.
I love the fall colors!
P.S. If you like the blocks check out my post here on how to make them. The opposite side says “Jingle Bells”.
Two:
I’ve been spending most of nap time sewing. I’ve made t-shirt/onesie dresses for both Autumn and Annabelle. I’m so excited to have them somewhat matchy. I figured I had to do it while I could.
Here is Autumn’s dress
I used the same method to do the “Gobble”. I am debating adding them to my Etsy page (for next year, since Thanksgiving is right around the corner).
I am going to do something similar for Christmas, so stay tuned. 🙂
Three:
Annabelle and I did a simple Thanksgiving turkey craft while Autumn was napping. I probably won’t do a post about it, since it’s a craft almost everyone has done I’m sure.
First, I had her glue feathers on the back of the turkey, and this is what we ended up with.
Then I just glued the turkey on a piece of paper. I was impressed that she actually put the beak and eyes in the correct place (all I did was tell her what they were).
Four:
I tried to change up how I had the mantel decorated from last year., but didn’t succeed to well. I always have a hard time since the mantel spans the entire wall. That’s a lot of space to decorate without it looking over done. Here is one of my favorite parts.
And I still really like how my garland looks.
Five:
My Thanksgiving chalkboard. 🙂
