Happy Friday! Can you believe that tomorrow is Halloween?! It just doesn’t seem possible. Today we are doing a whole lot of fun things. Carving pumpkins, putting together our haunted houses, and probably watching a few movies.
Lets take a look at some of my favorites from the week.
Spooky Walk in the Woods
We went to my parent’s for the annual spooky walk in the woods. It was a little different this time, but fun none the less. One of my good friends was visiting her mom (who lives in my parents’ neighborhood) so I got to visit with her a little too, which was good for the soul.
In case you don’t know, Autumn is Cat Noir and Annabelle is Ladybug, from Miraculous.
I threw on my fairy Godmother cloak and put a Cinderella Mouse hat on Aubrie (leftover from when Autumn was a baby).
Super Yummy Dinner
I got this from Aldi a few weeks ago and stuck in my freezer.
I threw it in the crock pot, and served it with flour tortillas, onions and avocado. It was so tasty, and I hope I can find it again.
Cinnamon Buns
Annabelle was pretty sad that Autumn got to have a Halloween party, and she didn’t (I actually think the fact that Autumn gets to go to school, and not her is really starting to bother her). So I said we’d do something fun, and decided to make cinnamon buns, then frosted them with orange icing.
Decorating Haunted Houses
I decided it would be fun for the girls to decorate some haunted houses, so I found this recipe that came with a template and got them baked up. We decorated them yesterday, and will assemble today.
A little tip about decorating cookie houses. Decorate the pieces first, then let them dry. The next day assemble them. It’s way easier to decorate a piece flat rather than vertical.
Here are my pieces.
Hayride
We also got to go on the annual hayride put on by my Mother’s Club. It was so much fun. Aubrie couldn’t stop laughing!
I hope that everyone has a fabulous and safe weekend! See you all on Monday…. when it is November!!
On the Blog this week
I posted four times on the blog this week! Don’t expect that to become a norm though! 😉
I made a candied cinnamon snack mix
A Trick-or-Treat bag (which you could us any fabric to make it an all occasion bag).
And I finally posted this cute little amigurumi
