Another Friday, another trip to the apple orchard.
Wait, what? You may be asking. Didn’t you like, just go, to the orchard?
Yes, I am going back to the apple orchard. This time I am heading there with my parents so I can buy a 1/2 bushel of apples to make applesauce with (much to Matt’s dismay). It is much easier to get a bunch of apples when your dad brings a dolly to put the apples in, and your mom can help with the kids.
So, what have we been up to this week?
ONE: On the Blog
I shared a peachy apple crisp recipe.
I showed how easy it is to create your own valence.
Co-hosted Idea Box.
TWO: Dance
Annabelle had her first dance class on Thursday (well first legit dance class. We took a mom and me class last year)! She looks so big in her leotard and dance shoes. I can’t wait to see her grow and learn! She’s showing off her plies here.
THREE: Hot, hot, hot
So the weather has gotten super gross again. We had one glorious fall like day at the beginning of the month, but now it’s back to summer like weather.
**I know, I know, it’s technically still summer, but I’m ready for the fall.**
FOUR: Hair cut
So, it has been since I was 20 weeks pregnant that I have had my hair cut. I finally decided that not only did I want to get it cut, but I wanted to add some funky color in as well. I thought a purple ombre would look wicked. I mean I stay home, so I could do something like that. 3.5 hours later, my hair was no where near what I wanted. While it doesn’t look bad, not at all what I wanted. I’m a bit disappointed (ok, more than a bit), but keep telling myself it’s only hair. I haven’t taken a picture yet, since I’m still a tad sad about it.
FIVE: Party Prep
I have s.l.o.w.l.y been prepping for Autumn’s birthday. Pretty sure I was all done with everything by now with Annabelle.
I was able to test out an egg free funfetti cake. Thankfully the recipe seemed to work well (I’ll share it eventually). Next up is to practice decorating it for her smash cake, and actually taking smash cake picutre. 🙂
