Ingredients in Salted Caramel Smore Brownie
- 8 X8 brownie recipe: you can use a box mix, or home made
- graham crackers: used to form that crunchy and buttery bottom, and again to top your brownies with
- butter: helps hold the crust together
- marshmallows: used for that ooey-gooey top. Try making your own! It is easy, and they taste much better than store bought.
- salted caramel sauce: you could buy your own, but homemade salted caramel is so tasty! It also is great in coffee, or to dip apples in…. or just to eat by the spoonful.
- chocolate bar: this is optional (since this is a pretty rich dessert) but its fun to top the brownies with some broken chocolate bars.
How to make Salted Caramel Smore Brownie
To make removing the brownies easier, you can line the pan with some parchment paper.
Make the graham cracker crust
Combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press into the bottom of an 8X8 pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Take out and let cool while you make the brownies.
Make the brownie mix
Make the brownie mix according to the package. Spread on top of the graham cracker crust. Drizzle about a tablespoon of salted caramel sauce and swirl it into the batter. Bake for the amount of time stated in the recipe.
Top with marshmallows
Once the brownies are done, take them out and top them with the marshmallows. Turn on your broiler and broil the brownies until the marshmallows are toasted. Keep an eye on them, as they get toasty pretty quick.
Top with graham crackers and chocolate bar
Take the brownies out of the oven and top with broken graham crackers and broken chocolate bars if desired. You can also drizzle a little more caramel sauce over the top.
Let cool then enjoy

I would share a link to the brownie recipe I use, but it’s from one of the first cook books I got, the Alpha-Bakery Cook Book by Gold Medal flour. The F is for fudge brownie recipe has been my go to for years. Did anyone else have that cook book???

As much as I love a real s’more these are actually a pretty good substitute. You for sure need to broil it to give the marshmallows that slightly crunch texture. It’s so much fun to watch them puff up then start to brown. Like I said in the directions, watch closely when you do this. It is very easy to burn them. It probably only took 2-3 minutes for my marshmallows to reach optimal toastiness.
I hope you love this salted caramel s’more brownie as much as my family did??
