It can be hard to know what your child’s teacher likes Whether it is back-to-school, holidays, birthday, or teacher appreciate, don’t be left wondering. As a former elementary school teacher I know every give it appreciate. Why not make that gift more meaningful by getting something the teacher really likes. That’s why I created this free “Teacher Favorites” pintable.

I tried to include a variety of different options to choose from, while still making it short and sweet. Teachers have lots to do. And yes I did include a question about their favorite beer/wine. When I was a teacher I got a few bottles of wine, and it was pretty sweet.
Funny story. One year of my teaching a parent asked me “do you imbibe?” I had never heard the word imbibe before, and had to ask what she meant. She laughed, then clarified by asking if I drank. To which my response was yes. I got a very nice bottle of wine from that family that year. Along with an ornament which still goes on my tree. When I gave this questionnaire to Annabelle’s teacher, I attached a little note saying I loved getting wine when I was a teacher, but no worries if that was left blank.
I love that no only can this be used for Christmas gifts, but throughout the year as well. I love giving little gifts, and this gives me many ideas.
So, instead of making the crayon wreath you saw on Pinterest find out what your teacher really wants. And, if you do want to give a gift card, but want to personalize it a little, you could consider making a mug/cup cozy! You can find a knit cozy here or a crochet one here. Both are super easy to make!
**I should also add, teachers do NOT expect holiday gifts. We know that many parents have multiple kids, which means multiple gifts. But if you are going to get something, it might as well be something that you are pretty sure they will like.**
