S’more Brownie Bowl

I hope everyone has been doing well lately!  I know it’s been quiet here on the blog lately (except for my pregnancy updates).  I’m happy to say that we will be moving this week, so hopefully things will start to pick back up.  But, not guarantees since, you know, we are going to be trying to get our new house all organized.  At any rate, this weekend my cousins were in for a night from out of town so my parents hosted a BBQ so the family could all get together.  I offered to bring a dessert, and came up with these s’more brownie bowls!  Everyone at the party loved them, so I knew I had to get them on the blog.  They are really easy to make, and will totally impress your guests.

Made with brownie batter, toasted marshmallow, graham crackers and chocolate, this s'more brownie bowl is quick and easy to make. #smore #summer #brownie

How to make the S’more Brownie Bowl

To start off, mix up your favorite brownie mix.  Then spoon the batter into a lined cupcake pan.  A mix for an 8 x 8 pan should yield about 10-12 cup cake brownies… perhaps we could call them cupownies… maybe cupies…? Any how… if you notice, I didn’t fill them up all the way, maybe about 1/3.

Bake them for about 5 minutes less than what the recipe calls for, and check to make sure they are done.

Let them cool for a few minutes, then start making indentations in the middle of each brownie cupcake.  I used a shot glass to do this.

Now you should have a “bowl”.  In each bowl, place a marshmallow, then stick the pan under a broiler until the marshmallows start to brown.  As soon as they start to turn golden, take them out.  You need to keep an eye on this part, because if you ever used a broiler you know it can go from golden to burnt in  a matter like that. #speakingfromexperience

Once the marshmallows are toasted, take it out of the oven and let it cool a bit.  Then put a piece of a graham cracker and piece of chocolate in the marshmallow, and you are done.
