Edible Red Velvet Cookie Dough

I can’t believe that it’s been over a month since I last posted a recipe!  To be honest, I’ve been kinda burnt out on the cooking end (ask Matt, he’d agree).  One week I just didn’t meal plan, and it was a sh*t show disaster.  Seriously.  I don’t know how people don’t meal plan!  How do you know what to buy?  How do you have time to figure out what to make?  When to start making it? After the craziness of the holidays, I think I have finally gotten back into the swing of things, and am hoping to get more recipes on the blog.   With that said, this edible red velvet cookie dough isn’t exactly something you meal plan, but it’s still pretty tasty!

An easy to make edible red velvet cookie dough. Egg free, almost like a red velvet cookie dough truffle.

Two years ago, I made these rolled Red Velvet Cookies.  This year I wanted to do something just a little different.  Now, I call this an edible cookie dough, but really it’s almost like a truffle.  It ends up being pretty dense.  Is still tastes delicious, but just not super fluffy.  It’s meant to be rolled, and wouldn’t be a good choice to eat with a spoon.

Make this yummy edible #redvelvet #cookiedough for your love this #valentinesday. Or make it for you, because you're worth it too! #blogger Share on X

Making this isn’t hard, but just a little more invoked than my past cookie doughs.

  4. Fold in white chocolate chips and roll into balls. Your hands will probably get slightly dyed due to the red food coloring.

It’s not a super sweet cookie dough, but still super tasty. Dare I say, it’s just a tad tangy which comes from the buttermilk.  A great little treat to make for someone for Valentine’s Day, or make it for yourself, just because!

Plus, if you like these, you should check out my other cookie dough recipes! Two of my most popular ones are this Funfetti Cookie Dough (which is made to be eaten with a spoon) and these chocolate chip cookie dough truffles (dipped in chocolate they are extra sweet). I also made this tasty Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter cookie dough. This recipe was back from my early days of blogging, so I realize I need to revamp it a bit, but it’s still tasty, so thought I would share!
