Circus Animal Popcorn Treat

/

So it’s been pretty busy around here. After throwing my mom her surprise 70th birthday Annabelle went back to school. Then we had visitors over the Labor Day Weekend. This week Autumn started preschool for the first time, and the girls started dance. I am finally getting a chance to breathe! I made this circus animal popcorn mix for my Mom’s birthday, and it was so easy! I am pretty sure I spent more time taking pictures of it than I did actually making it.

A simple and tasty treat using chocolate, almond bark, and frosted circus animal cookies. #popcorn #party #snackmix

Circus Animal Popcorn Mix

Ingredients

  • 1 bag popped popcorn
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 1.5 cups frosted circus animal cookies break about 1/2 of them into pieces
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles
  • 8 oz almond bark

Method

  1. Pop the bag of popcorn.
  2. Mix the popcorn with the pretzels and peanuts.
  3. Melt the almond bark and pour it over the popcorn mixture.
  4. Stir in the animal crackers and sprinkles.
  5. Spread out on a piece of wax paper to let dry.
  6. Enjoy!

Seriously, so easy. The hardest part is not eating it all before it dries. I am thinking about making it again for Autumn’s Hello Kitty birthday party coming up (except I may skip the peanuts and use Chex).
