It’s hard to believe I am actually writing down goals for the year 2019. But before I get into my new goals, I figured I would recap my goals from last year.
Blog
~Blog smarter (not necessarily more)*: I do think I did a better job about finding balance this year. I’ve taken some blogging things off my plate, which has really helped me not be so stressed.~Up my Pinterst game: Boom, I for sure got this done, with a big thanks to Pinterest Ninja. If you are looking for an amazing Pinterest course be sure to check it out. I’ve gone from 155,000 views to 1.3 million! That’s a huge increase. I am still working on getting my pins to convert to websites clicks, but I feel that will always be a work in progress.
~Get to 10K pageviews a month: Ok, so I hit this goal one month, and I was super pumped! But I haven’t been able to get there again. While my pageviews are greater than they were in 2017, it’s still something I am working on.~Plan ahead: So, some months I was good, others not so much, but I figured I did a good enough job to cross it out. 😉
~Start a newsletter: well, I started a newsletter, but then it just sorta fizzled out.
~Grow my email list: I tried to grow my list, but then all the scare from the GDRP freaked me out, so I stopped.
*I am hoping to get a better schedule figured out. Do I want to grow my blog? You betcha. Do I want to burn myself out like I did last year? No. So, I want to blog smarter. How that is going to look is up in the air.
Personal
~Try to not be so easily frustrated: I wish I could cross this off, but 2018 was a bit rough. I’ll be working more on it in 2019.~Submit a recipe to Taste of Home: I did do this, but alas, my recipe wasn’t chosen.~Start a bullet journal for a Bible Study: I started one, but then realized that a bullet journal wasn’t really for me, so I stopped.
~Spending some one on one time with Annabelle before she starts Kindergarten (?!?!?!): I didn’t get to spend as much time with Annabelle as I hoped.~Send Annabelle to Kindergarten: She is loving it!
~Be present (aka not as much multitasking): Nope, didn’t really get this one done either.
So, now that we’ve recapped 2018, let’s move on to 2019. I will say this, with a new baby at home, my goals aren’t going to be very grand.
BLOG
- Consistently hit 10K views a month
- Grow my Instagram
- Grow my Facebook
- Try to work on SEO
PERSONAL
- Survive the newborn stage
- work on being less angry
- figure out strategies to be calmer
So, there you have it! As I said I’m not going big or going home this year. The newborn stage is tough for me, so I will be giving myself lots of grace. My overall goals for 2019 (I wrote 2018 and had to delete it. It always takes so much time to start writing the correct year).
Have you made goals for 2019? I for one love to read other peoples goals as they inspire me to stay focused as well! 🙂
