Hello wonderful friends! I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend, and is ready to take on this week! Annabelle has the week off of school, which I am actually a little excited about. Don’t get me wrong, I love Annabelle’s school, but it will be nice to not have to run around everyday. Plus I am hoping to get a lot of party prep done for Annabelle’s quickly approaching birthday.
If you follow me on IG then you probably saw that I went on a girls overnight Saturday to Sunday! I was so excited to get out of the house sans kids! See the look of excitement on face! Plus, please notice my hair, as I think it looks pretty good, and very rarely does it look nice.
Last month my friend (who also happens to be Annabelle’s old speech teacher. So glad we became friends Karen) contacted a few of us with the idea of staying overnight in a hotel. We were all on board and plans were made, and it happened this weekend!
We decided on staying in a hotel close-ish to home, so that we could get home if need be. We brought food, drinks, swim suits, and were ready to have a blast! After checking in we decided to head out to a local pizza place to eat.
Now for those of you from Michigan, you are probably familiar with Buddy’s. For those unfamilar, Buddy’s sereves “The Original Detroit Style Square Pizza”, but what may suprpise you is that I have never eaten there. Growing up I didn’t like pizza, so we never went. Since I now like pizza, I knew that I wanted to try it out. It is a pretty popular place, and even though we got there around 6 we still had to wait for a table, so we headed to the bar to get some drinks.
After about thirty minutes, we got to our table and ordered some food. Boy was it tasty! We got an antipasto salad, and a half meat half margarhita pizza. I already can’t wait to go back!
After we ate we headed back to the hotel and went down to relax in the hot tub. It was so wonderful having full conversations with other adults! Once we had enough of the hot tub we went back to the room were we ate, drank, and talked until about 1am (way past my bedtime). Then I slept in until almost 9:30. It was glorious! We checked out of the hotel around 10am, then all headed home. We are already planning our next time! 😉
