Wow! It’s been a while since I blogged! I’ve been spending Annabelle’s naps sewing Halloween outfits for her to wear in October (I’m going to be posting pictures soon). I may or may not have started doing this in August, when the temperature was in the upper 80s. I’m just pretty excited about fall/apple picking/cider/football… the list goes on and on!
Annabelle is pretty pumped for football too. I made the skirt and headband she is wearing, which I will post instructions for soon.
Today was a day of mixed emotions. My baby girl turned 6 months old! I’ve been taking some “6 month photo shoot” pictures, and will post them soon. I can’t believe it has already been that long. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home (I know everyone says it, but its true!). Today was also the first day of school for people here in Michigan. Reading all my teacher friend’s post about going back to school was harder than I thought. It took me a while to get the job I had the past two years, and I loved it! It was challenging at times, but seeing how much my students grew throughout the year made everything worth it. The look on a child’s face when the light bulb goes off is so amazing. To all the teachers out there, have an amazing year!
Now, just because I will miss teaching doesn’t mean I dislike being a stay at home mom. I thank God everyday for blessing our family with the opportunity for me to stay home. I love being able to watch how much she grows. It is amazing how much babies change in such a short amount of time! I am so lucky to be able to witness as Annabelle grows and discovers. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings (hopefully some longer stretches of sleep at night and naps that last longer than 45 minutes ;)).
