Annabelle’s Pink Ombre Birthday Party

It is hard to believe that my baby girl is one!  It is amazing how much she grows and learns everyday.  God has truly blessed me!

This past Saturday we had a family birthday party for her.  I put quite a bit of time into the planning, but it was worth it, because everything was great!  Special thanks to my family and in-laws who brought snacks.

I made three types of cupcakes for Annabelle’s party.  Chocolate, red velvet and funfetti (check out Sally’s Baking Addiction for the recipe).  I made the batter about a week before, baked the cupcakes on Friday and frosted them on Saturday.  I made butter cream frosting and double the recipe, which was enough frosting to decorate 36 cupcakes and Annabelle’s smash cake.  To get the different shades of pink I simply dyed the whole batch of frosting light pink, then used some of the frosting to decorate one set of cupcakes.  I then added more dye to the frosting I didn’t use and decorated the next set of cupcakes with that.
I made chocolate and funfetti cake pops.
