It is hard to believe that my baby girl is one! It is amazing how much she grows and learns everyday. God has truly blessed me!
This past Saturday we had a family birthday party for her. I put quite a bit of time into the planning, but it was worth it, because everything was great! Special thanks to my family and in-laws who brought snacks.
I made three types of cupcakes for Annabelle’s party. Chocolate, red velvet and funfetti (check out Sally’s Baking Addiction for the recipe). I made the batter about a week before, baked the cupcakes on Friday and frosted them on Saturday. I made butter cream frosting and double the recipe, which was enough frosting to decorate 36 cupcakes and Annabelle’s smash cake. To get the different shades of pink I simply dyed the whole batch of frosting light pink, then used some of the frosting to decorate one set of cupcakes. I then added more dye to the frosting I didn’t use and decorated the next set of cupcakes with that. |
