One:
May is NF Awareness month. As some of my friends and family know, NF (also know as neurofibermatosis) is a disorder that I have. NF is the most common genetic disorder (1 in 3,000 births have NF), yet not many people know about it. I was diagnosed when I was around five years old (due to multiple cafe au lait spots, and some auxiliary freckling). NF causes tumors to form on nerves anywhere on the body. Some people with NF also may have slight learning disabilities. Although I have a relativly mild case, there are others who have a much more server case. I will be participating in a walk in June to raise money for NF and I will post more information about that in the future.
Two:
Bubbles! Annabelle got bubbles in her Easter basket this year. I would say she enjoyed them! 🙂
Three:
Annabelle is officially cutting her first tooth! She had a rough day yesterday, and was up super early this morning, but seems to be doing better this afternoon (thank goodness)!
Four:
On Monday when the weather was really nice Matt and I started planting our square foot garden (well really Matt planted it, I just helped with the string). I love having a garden in the summer. This will be our third summer with a square foot garden. If you love fresh vegetables and spices but don’t have a lot of space to grow them, I suggest looking into square foot gardening. It’s so nice to go outside and pick some fresh basil or oregano! I’ll post more about the garden as it grows.
Five:
I sewed myself a new diaper bag, and am pretty impressed with how it turned out.
So the inside is made out of PUL and has pockets to store your things and keep them nice and organized. There are also pockets on one side and the back of the bag on the outside. The strap is adjustable and there is a magnetic flap to close it. I am in the process of making another one (with different fabric) to sell in my Etsy store, so keep checking! If you would like one, please let me know I am more than happy to do custom orders! 🙂
