Oh Hey Friday!

Five DIY Projects on my To-Do List

Linking up with September Farm and The Farmer’s Wife for Oh Hey Friday!

I’m not sure about you, but do you ever have those days or weeks that are super busy?  I have had a few of those, but I think things are starting to calm down.  At least for a little bit.  This post has been drafted for a while now, so happy I am finally getting it posted!

So, there are a lot of DIY projects I have on my to do list.  Most of them are somewhat complicated, and trying to finishing them when Annabelle is napping seems slightly overwhelming.  I am trying to stick with one project at a time, but sometimes my mind wanders, and starts trying to plan another project.  So here are the five projects on my to-do list.
1.  Finish quiet book
So, if you read my blog you know that I have started a quiet book for Annabelle.  I have finally started to work on it again, but still have a long way to go.

 So here’s the break down:

1. Cover.  Annabelle loves, loves, loves cats.  So I decided to put a cat on the cover
and I will be putting her name on too.
2. Flower color match
3.  Lady bug counting
4. On the unfinished side I will be putting something… just not sure yet.
5.  Still trying to plan this page too.
6.  On the left I made a lion with ribbons.  On the right I made a crocodile with a zipper mouth , and an elephant with a trunk and ear that flaps.
2.  Overhaul front closet

Every time I put the stroller in the closet, I always look at how much wasted space there is.  I have an idea of what I want to do, but haven’t had a lot of time to sit down and try to plan it out.

3. Organize play area
Annabelle doesn’t really have her own “play area”.  Her play room is in the family room.  We are using an old TV stand as a coffee table, which has a few shelves to use for her toys.  I bought a few baskets to put toys in, but I’m not really digging it.

I would love to have a table with more shelves, and a top that is interchangeable.  Maybe a flat top on one side, and lego base on the other.

I also want to create some better storage options for toys that aren’t played with all the time, as well as a fun way to display books.  I have a few ideas, but it will most likely take some time.

4.  New Mantel
I finally took down my Fourth of July Mantel.

But now my mantel is bare!  With Spartan Football season coming upon us, I’ve decided my next task is to create a football mantel!  I have a few ideas of what I want to do, I’m pretty excited about it!  I don’t know why I didn’t think of a Spartan Mantel before!

5. Re-design Blog
Something I have been thinking about for a little bit is doing a slight re-design of my blog.  Nothing to major really, just a little more “professional”.

Well there are my Five things I want to do… clearly I need more time in my day. 😉
