Wow! I can’t believe it is already week four! Christmas is next week! Say what?! I think I finally finished my Christmas shopping, although I have yet to wrap anything.
We have lots of fun mom’s club stuff going on this week, so it should be pretty fun! I realized I haven’t update the Christmas Bucket List since I started, so I’ll be doing that today. 🙂
Some of the items we completed over Thanksgiving (playing in the snow and baking Christmas cookies). Thankfully we were able to play in the snow Up North, since we have no snow at home. 🙁 They are predicting a non snowy Christmas, which makes me sad. The high yesterday was 53! Still hoping for some snow.
On Friday we went to the kid’s Christmas party with the mom’s club. It was crazy busy but so much fun. We have Santa there so kids can take pictures with him (for free). It’s super nice since pictures with Santa at the mall are ridiculously expensive (like $20-$30). Until Annabelle is old enough to request mall Santa, I’ll stick with the free one!
Annabelle was just about the only one her age that actually sat on Santa’s lap without tears.
We also went to Breakfast with Santa at our church. Pointing seems to be a theme with these pictures.
She wasn’t too sure about this Santa after a few minutes, so I jumped into the picture as well.
Also, I wanted to share with you a fun teacher gift.
A bottle of wine with a gift card is a great gift to give (provided the teacher does indeed drink wine). Adding a homemade gift card holder and some tinsel or ribbon adds an extra little touch. If you do get this gift, you will probably have to bring it into the teacher (as sending a child to school with a wine bottle in his or her backpack may not be the best idea).
I am going to try to get up a DIY of the gift card holder tomorrow, so stayed tuned!
What kind of gifts do you give teachers?
